Just like the kid in Sixth Sense sees dead people, I hear voices all the time. In fact we all do. We are constantly talking to ourselves in our mind. Some of these internal conversations are great while others suck. But every now and then I get thoughts that don’t sound like mine. I will get an idea or guidance that almost feel celestial. This “alien” voice in my head will give me new business ideas and sometimes hint me to a new life direction. In the past I would ignore this voice and continue daily business as usual. BIG MISTAKE!
I believe we all have a purpose in life. Unfortunately, so many of us sacrifice our dreams to earn a living. We lose our focus in life. Instead of pursuing happiness we work to pay bills. We fall into a cycle of waking up, dreading work, going to work, coming home, eating, sleeping, rinse and repeat. If you don’t love your job and are in this catastrophic cycle, maybe it would be worth while to do some soul searching and find out what really floats your boat. Life goes by very quickly and it stinks to spend that valuable time working your way to your grave. So when will you choose to follow your heart and listen to that voice? When will you choose to follow your dreams before your time is up and you add to the masses of other unfulfilled lives?
They say the richest place on earth is the graveyard. “Where there lie paintings never painted, books never written, businesses never begun, dreams never pursued, relationships never started, songs never sung, and items never produced.” People have dreams that they will do “some day.” What if that “some day” never comes, then what? Dare to follow the voice to your dreams. Be bold to follow your passion.
Osama Bin Laden is no more. He has been sent to the graveyard. Don’t be the person to add more dreams to an already rich graveyard. Find your passion and live it. If you are not sure what your passion is, listen to that voice and follow your heart. Live your life with a smile. Next time you hear that voice and it just feels right, give it a shot. You are full of life. Live full and die empty.
